The formula

We make all our recipes by hand and in small batches using different cuts of meat each time. This helps to ensure greater variety. As a result, each batch may vary in terms of colour and consistency.

Our Out of Season Working Dog Food Wild Game formula with vegetables contains approximately 2/3rd raw, wild game (venison and pheasant – including bone and heart) and one-third fresh, seasonal vegetables.

Our vegetable-free formula is 100% wild game and bone.

This formula was created by our Chief Veterinary Surgeon, Dr. Tom Farrington, for working dogs taking between zero and six hours exercise a day.

The ingredients

Honey’s Wild Game recipe is made from not one but two wild meats: venison and pheasant.

Wild meat most closely resembles a dog’s natural diet. It is rich with all sorts of minerals and vitamins that even organic meat can’t offer.

We buy our venison and pheasant from English, Scottish and Welsh gamekeepers that we know and trust.

The vegetables are grown locally for us without the use of chemicals.

Honey’s is made using the freshest possible ingredients that would, if they weren’t becoming dog food, be 100% suitable for human consumption. This is really important not just for ethical reasons but because high quality ingredients contain much higher nutritional values.

All our ingredients come from British farms and are, therefore, seasonal.

Complete and approved

Our food meets all the most vigorous nutritional guidelines as set out by the European Pet Food Industry Federation (FEDIAF), the Pet Food Manufacturers Association (PFMA) and the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO). We achieve this without adding any supplements. We believe that healthy dogs should get all their nutrition from their food.
