Darling

The diary that Honey’s founder Jonathan Self kept after he lost his dog, Darling, has now been published as a book. It is about the particular grief that every dog lover has felt but also explores why the loss of a dog can be more distressing even than the loss of family and friends

Jeffrey Masson (author of many bestsellers including When Elephants Weep: The Emotional Lives of Animals and Dogs Never Lie About Love) gave it a very positive review:

Darling is honest and revealing yet despite his unhappiness the author can’t completely hide his dry humour and keen sense of the absurd.
